innoscripta SE (“innoscripta”, ISIN: DE000A40QVM8) today announced the opening of its New York office, expanding the U.S. operations it began earlier this year with the introduction of its Clusterix platform. innoscripta supports more than 2,900 signed customers across Germany, Austria, France and the United Kingdom, and U.S. customers are already using its platform.
The expansion arrives just as U.S. R&D tax credit reporting is becoming more data-intensive. For tax years beginning after December 31, 2025, affected taxpayers must report qualified research expenses at the business-component level under Section G of IRS Form 6765, a section that was optional for tax year 2025. The requirement asks companies to tie research spending to specific business components, a record that is difficult to reconstruct once a tax year has closed and the required details are spread across payroll, project and time-tracking systems.
Clusterix connects R&D projects, employees, activities, time and qualifying expenditure at the point the work is logged, so the audit trail accumulates across the year and is complete when the tax claim is filed. This helps companies capture qualifying activity as it happens, rather than reconstructing records months later and potentially leaving credits on the table because expenses went undocumented.
Companies running R&D across several entities or jurisdictions can hold all of it in the Clusterix platform, which maps the same underlying data to the requirements of each national incentive regime, supporting the effective use of R&D tax credits while strengthening audit readiness.
“Under the new reporting requirements, affected U.S. companies will need to report qualified research expenses at the business-component level, tying relevant costs to individual components,” said Lukas Hehle, Head of U.S. Sales at innoscripta. “For companies that assemble those records after the tax year closes, it means working backward from whatever timesheets and notes survive. Clusterix builds it as the work happens, so the documentation behind a claim exists before it is needed.”
innoscripta reported revenue of EUR 63.1 million in the first half of 2026, up 43% year over year, with an adjusted EBIT margin of 57.7%. The company was named to the Financial Times 1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies and works with organizations including Leica Biosystems, Rhenus Logistics and CEWE Group.
“We have used this model successfully across Germany, Austria, France and the U.K., and the underlying issues look the same in every market,” said Michael Hohenester, CEO of innoscripta. “The U.S. is the largest R&D market in the world, and it is moving toward more structured reporting. Clusterix is a platform that more than 2,900 companies already use, and we are confident U.S. customers will find it just as beneficial.”
Combining Clusterix with specialist R&D tax expertise gives U.S. companies a software-driven alternative to traditional consultant-led and spreadsheet-based documentation processes. innoscripta operates on a success-based commercial model with no upfront fee, a structure it has used across its European markets and is now applying in the U.S. The company expects to reach 15 employees in the United States by the end of 2026.
